About
PHASES Collab is a boutique consultancy driving water security, climate resilience, and planetary health through technical advisory support, behavior‑centered approaches, and strategic capacity development that strengthen systems for lasting impact.
Principal: Lina Taing, PhD, PMP
I help organizations apply evidence, navigate change, and strengthen systems that advance water security, climate action, and planetary health.
I bring two decades of global experience at the intersection of science, policy, and systems change across Sub‑Saharan Africa, Europe, and North America, drawing on a pracademic lens to bridge research and real‑world implementation.
Formerly the Training Lead at Nature for Water (N4W), I partnered with organizations across sectors to strengthen systems and advance nature‑based solutions that support water security and sustainable land management. Before that, I led the Health and Behavior portfolio at the UN’s water think tank and co‑directed McMaster University’s Water Without Borders graduate programme.
Now, as an Assistant Professor in Environmental Sustainability — and through my independent consultancy, PHASES Collab — I continue to connect research, policy, and practice to drive durable, meaningful impact.
Across every role, one thing remains constant: I work with organizations to build the structures, capabilities, and collaborations that make evidence‑driven, system‑level change possible.
